POSITION SUMMARY
The University Students’ Council of the University of Western Ontario is seeking a Photography and Video Production Coordinator on a part-time temporary basis to coordinate all aspects of photo and video production for the promotion of USC services, events, operations and branding. This role is responsible for working with the USC Promotions Team to schedule, prioritize and produce video content for USC promotional campaigns. 
This position will require 25 hours per week with some flexibility required in terms of working hours. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Operational

• Coordinates and produces photographic and video content for various marketing initiatives.
• Works with USC Promotions Team to schedule, prioritize and publish USC promotional campaigns and content.
• Monitors work progress to establish deadlines for and to oversee the quality of assigned work.

Customer Service

• Provides photography and video production consultation, quotation and billing to internal stakeholders.
• Works with Managers, Executives, Coordinators, USC Groups, etc. to create promotional photographic / video content. 

Supervision

• Leads a group of Interns and Volunteers through concept to completion of Promotional projects.
• Monitors activities and output of Interns and Volunteers.
• Acts as a mentor to Interns and Volunteers in the USC Promotions Department.

 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to work in a fast-paced environment, well organized, detail oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, excellent problem solving skills, and time management skills. The successful candidate will be focused on providing exceptional support and mentorship to USC Promotional Volunteers and Interns. Must be able to work flexible hours and work unsupervised. 
 
Education
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Information and Media Studies or related discipline with a strong emphasis on video production.
 
Experience

• Three to five years’ experience in promotional photography and video production.
• Experience with audio recording and mixing
• Technical understanding of various cameras
• Proficient with photo, video and audio editing software
• Proficient with various computer applications
• Experience working with social media platforms for promotional purposes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION     

• Occasionally required to work nights and weekends during peak times to meet deadlines and provide photographic / video coverage.
• Frequent sitting at a computer terminal for extended periods.
• Working at a variety of locations.
• Knowledge of Western University and the University Students Council is an asset.
