Reporting to the Residential Construction Superintendent, this full-time position assumes responsibility for construction of residential building units according to approved plans and specifications, regulations of all governing bodies and the agreed upon schedule. Assigns crew tasks, maintains quality control and ensures compliance with safety procedures.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare and ensure adherence to production schedules in order to deliver the product on the specified date. Maintain work and safety standards and ensure crews perform daily and weekly activities to meet production goals.
• Review plans, specifications, change orders, site instructions and purchase orders and advise Site Superintendent immediately of any possible changes, errors or discrepancies. Issue field orders as necessary and ensure that information is passed on for formal purchase orders.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years residential construction experience in a supervisory role and project management. 
• Applicable post-secondary school education (eg. Construction Engineering Technology Management). Strong working knowledge of construction safety regulations.
• Effectively communicates, applies good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Is a team player who is ready to take on new challenges and is willing to learn, motivate and coach team members
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook and excel is required. Familiarity with Newstar or other industry computer database is preferred. 
• Has a valid drivers license.
