Candidates should ideally demonstrate the following:

-      Minimum 310S/310T licence

-      ODP certification & A/C experience

-      Minimum of 3 years work experience as a mechanic

-      Excellent proven customer service experience in a Fleet Environment

-      Medium duty Fleet Maintenance

-      Be able to register as a Motor Vehicle Inspection Mechanic with MTO

-      Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills

-      Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

-      Effective communication (both written and verbal)

-      Has experience and working knowledge of Diesel, Gasoline and Propane systems with electrical experience, diagnostics & repair

-      Basic computer skills

-      Focus on Preventative Maintenance

 

-    Evaluate what repairs are needed to make vehicle safe and able to be back on road as soon as possible

-    Use parts from inventory or order parts necessary through Fleet Manager to make repairs

-    Complete repairs in a timely manner

-    Communicate status of vehicle and estimate down time to Fleet Manager and Division Manager

-    Service vehicle in accordance with corporate policies and procedures

-    Keep work environment clean. Clean up spills as they occur and general shop keeping

-    Complete required reports as directed (i.e. Sign-off on driver initiated repair logs and log books, PM service logs by division)

-    With assistance of Fleet Manager, prioritize vehicle repair and service schedules as changes occur
