Job Description
Adecco is currently recruiting to fill Administrative Assistant opportunity in Thorndale, ON. As an Administrative Assistant, the successful candidate will support all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivables, and administrative tasks for our client.
The job responsibilities of this Administrative Assistant job includes:
*Code source documents such as invoices and receipts to the appropriate accounts
*Maintains and updates accounting records by performing duties such as recording and posting transactions in journals and the general ledger for A/P and A/R
*Prepares and issues invoices and follows up on late accounts in accordance with established procedures
*Maintains bank account records; reconciles bank accounts and balances cheque books
*Prepares various accounting summaries and monthly reports
*Responds to inquiries and requests regarding other bookkeeping duties
*Follow up to resolve errors and discrepancies in accordance with established procedures
*First line of contact for customers and employees
*General office related tasks- filing, answering phones, etc.
*Other administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
*3 years experience working in an Administrative/Accounting role
*Excellent organizational and time management skills
*Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
*Proactive planning and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
*Strong attention to detail
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
*Experience with ACCPAC or SAGE
*Completion, at minimum, a two year College Diploma
*Must have reliable means of transportation
