Job Description
For more than fifty years, Anago has been helping at-risk children, youth and vulnerable adults navigate critical transitions in their lives by making meaningful connections that support healthy living. As a registered charity, Anago provides services and support for people to achieve independence through integration into communities of support. We work out of locations based in London, Middlesex and Huron Counties, with referral case intake from all over Ontario.
The successful candidate will provide preventative maintenance services infrastructure planning and oversight. Resolves ongoing maintenance and repairs within justice settings; Travel between the Youth Justice locations Genest Detention Centre for Youth and King Street Detention. These are 24/7 operations, including days, evenings and weekends. Attend to emergency repairs across two geographic locations

Qualifications:
- Related skills in a hands-on maintenance capacity or equivalent Post Secondary education
- A valid Ontario full (G) Driver’s Licence
- Current Police vulnerable Sector Check
- Current immunizations and health assessment
- A minimum of two (2) years experience working in a repair or maintenance role
- Experience collaborating and communicating with contracts and external businesses to negotiate service and repairs within a defined budget
- Experience in writing quotes and cost comparison reports
- Ability to work independently
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make independent decisions based on Policies & Procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in use of computer hardware and software
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries
- Ability to communication to external service contractors.
