- Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Remaining current in the field of study and maintaining awareness of emerging trends and practices related to teaching and learning in higher education
- Strong network of contacts with other professionals, agencies and employers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed to excellence in teaching and learning, and to working within a team environment
- Post-secondary 4 year Degree
- Minimum 5 years practical experience related to the field of study
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Professional Certification relevant to the field, as appropriate
- Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
