Summary
We are a growing company that manufactures and distributes basement window systems.
The successful candidate will prepare windows for installation / shipment by building and attaching wooden braces. They will also be completing local deliveries of basement windows and window wells, to residential construction sites in the London area. This includes installation of window wells when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading cargo
- Tracking shipments and deliveries; meeting delivery deadlines
- Obtaining customer signatures as required
- Installing product during deliveries as needed
- Building rough wooden window braces, according to instructions
- Use power tools / light machinery to measure, cut and saw wood braces
- Following best practices for health and safety when on the road, loading/unloading trucks and when bracing windows
- Performing daily vehicle inspections and basic truck maintenance
Skills and Qualifications
- A valid driver's license
- Ability to safely operate on-site equipment, power tools / light machinery, forklifts and larger vehicles
- Familiarity with using navigation systems
- Effective time management skills to ensure deliveries are made on schedule
- Flexibility and adapt to a dynamic work environment
- Ability to self-manage and work independently
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable on construction job sites
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting (60+ lbs.)
- Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination
- Able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Effective communication skills, memory and math abilities
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 /hour
