- Minimum Grade 12 High School Diploma
- Valid Ontario Millwright Mechanic License

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining the efficient operation of machinery and equipment in the facility.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic prints and diagrams and ladder logic programs
- Experienced with software interface tools for Allen Bradley or GE PLCs and windows based software
- Must be computer literate
- Proficient in using hand, power, shop and diagnostic tools, hoists, jack, rollers, dollies, rigging, lift trucks, ropes, chains, and slings
- Skilled in electrical power/controls, mechanical systems
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task with the capability to meet deadlines and be detail oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively (read, write, comprehension) and follow complex verbal and/or written instructions
- Physically able to stoop, bend and stand on a frequent to constant basis. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to work off shifts including midnight and afternoons, available for on-call duties and to work overtime shifts as required

Job Duties:
- Performs safe and efficient troubleshooting, repair work and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery, equipment and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels.
- Equipment includes but is not limited to mechanical, electrical and pneumatic molding presses, extruders, mixers, autoclaves, curing ovens, etc.
- Installs, disassembles, erects equipment and machinery as necessary
- Operates forklift and scissor lift
- Maintains a safe, clean work environment
- Adheres to all health, safety & environmental policies
- Practices Lockout/Tagout procedures

Working Environment:
- Majority of work environment is in production area with moderate to loud noise levels.

Physical Requirements:
- Physical requirements include the ability to stoop, bend, twist, sit, stand on a frequent basis
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis
- Visual requirements include: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Speaking and hearing sufficiently for understanding required
- Must have sufficient manual dexterity for a variety of tasks
