The Western Information Systems Group (WISG) is responsible for the support, maintenance, and development of the Oracle/PeopleSoft Enterprise administrative applications at Western. We work in partnership with multiple business partners across campus to promote and support the development of administrative systems and re-engineering of operational processes.

- Maintain and support databases for Oracle and a full suite of PeopleSoft ERP applications and Middleware and Web Server products
- Work collaboratively with management to plan, monitor and evolve these applications
- Participate in and co-ordinate projects and assessment and selection of new applications
- Build positive client and peer relationships by delivering high quality solutions to clients
- Continue to grow through gaining exposure to multiple functional/technical areas
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related fields
- Experience with relational database management products
- Experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft applications and tools or similar enterprise applications
- Knowledge of database technologies and tools (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), operating systems (UNIX, Linux, and Windows – Client and Server) and Oracle PeopleSoft infrastructure
- Knowledge of Backup/Recovery procedures, networking and load balancing
- Solid understanding of programming languages and scripting
- Strong communication, team and customer service skills and an ability to exercise sound judgment
- Some experience in CRM and analytics is a definite asset
