Fleetwood Metal Industries has an exciting opportunity in our Tillsonburg Facility!  FMI is looking for an Industrial Electrician.

Fleetwood houses over 40 presses that range from 250 to 2,000 tons for blanking, forming and drawing. Our advanced robotic mig and spot welding capabilities ensure the kind of quality that exceeds industry standards.  Our advancement in forming simulation and CATIA design is moving Fleetwood to the forefront of high strength material part production.

 Outline of Duties:

This Industrial Electrician will be responsible for supporting the plant with electrical troubleshooting, installation and preventive maintenance of plant and production equipment. More precisely, the incumbent: 
  • Operate within a multi-skilled environment to maintain the plant’s machinery and equipment, while improving processes to minimize disruption to the production line
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with standardized procedures
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including PLC and motor controls, safety sensors and relays
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings and gears
 Requirements: 
  • Certified Ontario Electrician (442A/309A or interprovincial license) with PLC and motor controls troubleshooting experience and technical knowledge
  • Strong problem solving skills related to troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Experienced in a fast paced manufacturing/industrial environment, preference will be given to those with automotive manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross functional team members
  • Mechanical aptitude/ interest
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and working conditions
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Participate in and support Lean initiatives
  • Other related tasks
