Tribe is looking to fill a full-time, permanent Senior Warehouse Assistant. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks associated with the Shipping and Receiving Department and the company’s requirements for efficient and effective product delivery to its customers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for coordinating tasks associated with the warehouse staff in order to best execute all shipping, receiving and inventory activities.
2. Responsible for such duties as:  picking, packing, loading and handling all products shipped from the TMG warehouse.
3. Help train and develop staff in all aspects of their day-to-day job duties.
4. Support the Joint Health and Safety Committee in the promotion of a safe and healthy workplace.
5. Closely monitor inventory levels through coordinating regular cycle counts with the other staff.
6. Investigate and correct back orders.
7. Help investigate inventory discrepancies between ERP system and vendor inventory records.
8. Analyze and make recommendations to reduce, optimize and better control inventory levels.
9. Work with third-party couriers to ensure proper handling and delivery of products.
10. Help develop and optimize minimum/maximum inventory order quantities and ongoing inventory levels.
11. Oversee and carry out all inventory purchasing and returns
12. Monitor all expiring and obsolete inventory.
13. Responsible for ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time.
14. Ability to facilitate emergency shipping needs outside of regular business hours.
15. Double check all orders for accuracy such as customer ship to addresses.
16. Stock warehouse shelves and ensure all product is located properly.
17. Prepare shipping and custom documentation as required
18. Ensure that warehouse space is kept clean and organized.
19. Assist with tracking customer orders as required.
20. Follow all company policies and procedures. Share in a positive manner with supervisor opportunities to improve upon these policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

1. College diploma.
2. Two years warehouse experience required.
3. Valid drivers’ license.
4. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
5. Proficiency with computer shipping/receiving systems, email, word processing and electronic spreadsheets.
6. Teamwork oriented.
7. Able to communicate clearly and effectively with external and internal customers.
8. Understanding of various courier systems and protocols (ie. Purolator, Dicom, Fedex, UPS).
9. Physically capable of lifting up to 80lbs.
