Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Automation Controls Developer for our London based client.  In this position, the successful candidate will focus primarily on the design and development of the controls portion of a proprietary project.
 
Responsibilities:

 
  • System design concept of PLC/HMI
  • PLC, HMI and RTU programming and configuration on various platforms
  • Configuration and programming of servo motor parameters
  • System design of safety control circuits
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation, including writing technical standards and timely procedural documents
 
Qualifications: 

 
  • Be adaptable to various situations, while adhering to daily deadlines
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills, capable of providing suggestions and solutions for problems as they arise
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong software computer proficiencies including Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Knowledge of AutoCad, PLC, C/C# programming and robot interfacing, sensors and safety components
  • Capable of creating electrical designs, selecting components & bills of material
  • Proficiency using 2D and 3D AutoCad to create conceptual layout drawings and, as required, 3D machine or tooling imagery
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures
  • Understanding of metric system and use of metric tools
  • Advanced communication skills with the ability to integrate across all levels of the organization
  • Experience with C/C# Programming  (required)
  • Familiarity with PLC and CNC controls and programming
  • Familiarity with HMI programming
  • Familiarity with servo drives and controls
  • Familiarity with safety control systems
  • Familiarity with robot controls and programming
  • Be capable of working independently or as part of team
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A university/college degree in a related field (Electrical Engineering Technician, Industrial Automation from a recognized institution)
