We require an entry-level candidate who will be responsible for:
  • Manufacturing Improvement Projects                 
  • Sustaining Engineering                
  • Liaison with Starlim Sterner Austria Operation Technology and Technology Development departments                   
  • Early involvement and support for program/tool transfers to Starlim North America                       
  • Support product launch management                  
  • Assist RD manager and colleagues on customer specification interpretation                     
  • Assist with production APQP process and documentation              
 
Additional tasks will include:
  • Support 8D process for manufacturing related issues                
  • Input to PFMEA              
  • Project Management                  
  • APQP process                 
  • Perform some duties of RDM/RDP in his/her absence                           
  • Support Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives throughout the facility, ensuring safety, housekeeping and quality standards are maintained                     
 
Do you have?
  • Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering university degree/ diploma
  • One (1) year or less, previous co-op or work experience in manufacturing
  • LSR or Thermoplastic Injection Molding in an Engineering capacity preferably in the automotive industry
 
Successful candidate will also:
  • Understanding of LSR and Plastic Material properties                          
  • Understanding of LSR and Plastic Mold design                  
  • Must be able to travel throughout North America and Europe as required                      
  • Good oral and written communication skills                     
  • Good people skills                       
  • Excellent technical understanding                        
  • Understanding of SQE tools (8D, FMEA, DFMEA, DOE, APQP, DVP&R, DFMA etc.)                       
  • Proficiency is Microsoft Office programs like Word, PowerPoint, excel plus Microsoft Project            
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD             
  • Proficiency in German is an asset
