Job Description

Highland Country Club Requires Food and Beverage Manager 
 
Responsible for ensuring that all Member and guest hospitality requirements are supported with the highest levels of service and care. Must be accountable for sales and profits in all areas. Must also promote and ensure a safe and healthy environment for all employees and guests. Responsible for developing a team of individuals to help ensure strong financial results are met and develop employees' abilities.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the overall management and organization of all food & beverage services at the Club, including regular member dining, special events and weddings.
• Designs and implements wine and beverage menus and programs
• Works closely with the Executive Chef on menu design and event planning
• Directly hires, orientates and trains all immediate reports
• Effectively promote and work in a group environment with other department team leaders
• Develop and implement creative strategies to increase revenues 
• Instill a guest service attitude in all employees using a "hands-on" approach to management
• Closely monitor guests' dining experiences and ensure team members meet member and guest needs and expectations.
• Ensure revenue and profitability goals are achieved
• Needs to be a highly visible Manager who interacts personally with the Club's Membership
• Ensures open communication procedures exist, which encourages member feedback
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational skills and fiscal responsibility
  • Excellent listening skills and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong track record maintaining consistent standards
  • Solid skills in selling and negotiating programs/projects
  • Strong budgetary, projections, cost control skills and forecasting skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of food and beverage managerial experience
  • Private Club experience considered an asset
  • Post-secondary degree in Hospitality and Tourism is an asset
  • Knowledge of the JONAS POS system is considered an asset
