We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Supervisor Community Services. We are looking for innovative individuals who are looking for a challenging and rewarding career.
Position Description: In accordance with legislation, policies, directives and funding guidelines, the Supervisor of Community Services will be responsible for the supervision, administration and coordination of Supported Employment Services program. Establish a result-oriented service model by providing a responsive customer service experience for all people looking to gain employment via Community Living London’s supports. The Supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to staff team through coaching and mentoring to achieve program outcomes. The Supervisor of Employment Services will assist the Manager of Community Services to identify, develop, and implement supported employment programs and procedures for people with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a social services sector background and strong business acumen.
Education: Completed post-secondary education in a relevant (social science, business) discipline
Operational Requirements:
Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Valid Driver’s License and the maintenance of an acceptable driving record
Must be prepared to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends and travel as required
EXPERIENCE:
5 years working experience in Social Services sector.
Experience working in collaboration, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
Demonstrated business acumen
Experience in program delivery by implementing strategic and operational plans
Commitment to individualized approaches to service delivery and accountability
Experience with managing program budget
Experience in managing and leading staff teams
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated leadership qualities and management skills to positively motivate employees.
Ability to effectively manage program delivery as per CLL’s vision, Mission and Strategic plan.
Ability to manage financial and human resources.
Excellent customer service skills.
Understanding of the Employment Funding Model within the developmental sector
Effective networking skills
Ability to leverage resources and utilize collaborative opportunities to create innovative options.
Strong problem identification and creative problem solving/resolution skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Strong computer skills; proficient in working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.
Ability to complete funding reports, applications and outcome reports
Knowledge of related legislation, government regulations and policies.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills,
Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and mediate differences
Ability to manage multiple priorities and strong time management skills.
Knowledge of Supervisory responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and ESA.
