As a Packaging Supervisor and under the direction of the Plant Manager, the job incumbent will:

• Manage daily team member work assignments and attendance;
• Coach and train to promote safe and effective work practices;
• Actively participate in health and safety and food safety programs by participating in audits and monthly talks;
• Relay operational instructions and information to team members;
• Act as a liaison with quality control, maintenance and logistics;
• Participate in a variety of meetings and training sessions, conduct training sessions where necessary;
• Responsible for operational effectiveness in the areas of budgets, labour and department performance.

      Requirements:

• Post secondary education with a minimum of two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with preference given to those with experience in the food industry;
• Must have a strong working knowledge of OHSA and food safety;
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Must have a solid working knowledge of manufacturing and inventory systems;
• Must have the demostrated ability to lead by example and motivate our team members to excel;
• Must have the ability to analyze and solve problems for continuous process improvements;
• Must have the ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of word, excel and power point.
