Note:  This is a full-time temporary Administrative position (37.5 hours per week) until August 25, 2017.

Duties:   Reporting to the Executive Director, Fanshawe College Foundation - Development and Alumni, the incumbent is responsible for providing assistance in all aspects of the Alumni giving portfolio in support of the Foundation/Advancement and Alumni Office.
The incumbent takes a lead role with regard to Alumni Relations and Alumni Giving.  The incumbent has the responsibility for undertaking research to facilitate alumni engagement, reunion events and alumni giving, including proposal research and writing, obtaining information, coordinating responses to facilitate all aspects of development, development and alumni events, fund raising and any special projects undertaken.

The incumbent is expected to fully participate towards the realization of the priorities of the office and any future plans established by the Executive Director, Fanshawe College Foundation.
 
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary 2 year college diploma in an Administrative Studies Program or equivalent is required at the point of hire for this position, with additional public relations, communications and development courses or related experience
  • Minimum 5 years recent, relevant experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with donors, staff, volunteers, external agencies, boards, etc.
  • Advanced computer experience and literacy in MS Office Suite
  • Experience in Raisers' Edge software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
