This role involves working in a secure custody and detention facility for male youth aged 12-17.  The successful candidate will have a strong background in residential services for youth and be responsible for providing support with youth bedtime and morning routines as necessary during the night. Hours of work average 37 hours per week, alternating weekends.
 
Qualifications:

• Able to establish therapeutic relationships on the basis of respect and trust
• Willingness to promote our Corporate philosophy
• Ability/willingness to lead individuals through a process of self-evaluation consistent with Cognitive Behavior Theory and Lead Management
• Ability to write clear, concise observations of behavior
• Ability to use sound judgment and make independent decisions based on Policies & Procedures
• Strong organizational, problem solving, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work well as part of the team
• A valid Ontario (G) Driver’s Licence, current Police Records Check & Vulnerable Position Screening, First Aid Certificate, PMAB Certificate
• Post Secondary education in a related field or equivalent
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in residential services

Starting Wage:   $11.44 per hour plus benefits
