Job Description

A Canadian leader in the automotive material handling industry has a permanent full-time opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator.


Position Summary:

Overseeing the details regarding recruitment and selection, training and development, employee onboarding, employee engagement, health and safety, performance management, and HR planning with payroll and benefits overview.


Key Responsibilities:

· WSIB claims management

· Full cycle recruitment process

· New employee orientation and onboarding

· Train employees on various company policies and programs

· Coordination of disciplinary action

· Compliance requirements (AODA, ESA, Human Rights, etc.)

· Employee relations (employment agreement, social committee)

· Pro-actively schedule any outsourced certificate training and track using a training matrix

· Be an active management member with the JHSC committee

· Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations

· Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)

· Compile and update employee records

· Process documentation and prepare Human Resources reports (seniority, turnover, years of service etc.)

· Coordinate HR projects and be an active member in any change processes

· Keep up to date with changes in employment and health and safety legislation and apply changes accordingly

· Enroll employees into benefit program and submit benefit claims in a timely manner

· Assist in LTD claims- act as liaison between benefit company an employees

· Review requests for accommodation for both work-related and non-work-related injuries and/or disability and assist with return-to-work plans

· Performance management processes

Education & Experience:

· Post- Secondary education in Human Resources

· CHRP designation preferred

· JHSC certification preferred

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in Human Resources

· Experience in manufacturing is an asset

 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
 

Salary: $45,760.00-$47,840.00 per year
