The Program Services Officer provides a wide range of supports to specific program areas within the department, including athletics, special education and academic programs. The specific duties and responsibilities related to this particular assignment include planning, coordinating and monitoring all elementary school athletic programs, recruiting conveners and volunteers in support of athletic events as needed, ensure safety through monitoring of athletic facilities and coaching staff qualifications, as well as monitoring and tracking coaching certifications such as Respect in Sport and First Aid. The successful candidate will chair the Elementary Sports Council, work directly with regional sports conveners and engage community partners in support of athletic events.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Successful completion of a two year post-secondary program in sports management, business administration, marketing, public relations or equivalent and three years of related work experience are required.
SALARY RANGE: $50,116 - $66,278
HIRING RANGE: $50,116 - $63,969
DATE OF VACANCY: As soon as possible
