Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, talented individual for the position of IT Support Specialist at our London head office location.
This is a unique entry-level position with a unique high-tech company.

LBMX is the leading creator of software for buying groups and purchasing cooperatives around the world. Our IT infrastructure ranges from internal office hardware (the typical range of PCs, laptops, tablets, and phones) to a host of managed servers that drive our customers’ business.

Quite frankly, we’ve got all this down to a science, and our current administrator splits his time between this and other projects.
What we are looking for is a smart, hard-working individual to gradually take over this position with the understanding that they will also spend time helping our QA team as time permits.

In short, we’re looking for someone who just graduated from a hardware/network engineering program who would like to learn the art of testing software, or someone with experience testing software who has a passion for hardware and networks.

Hardware/Network Responsibilities
  • Set up, install, upgrade, and service all hardware and software for our company
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot network and wireless issues
  • Assist other employees with hardware, network, and email related issues
  • Work with our Exchange Server provider to ensure email communication is timely and trouble free. Act as first point of contact.
  • Manage our VMWare system and our web server environment
  • Work with our Managed Services provider to ensure our internal infrastructure is operating at 100%. Act as first point of contact.
  • Develop, build, test, deploy server, database, and middleware technology as required
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, establish priorities, and use strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
Software QA Responsibilities
  • Execute test cases and test plans for software projects
  • Investigate potential defects and discuss them with developers
  • Prioritize test requirements and organize test cases accordingly
  • Perform other assignments as needed
Are you brilliant?
  • University or college degree
  • 0-2 years experience in an IT related field
  • Well-rounded, friendly individual who is passionate about success
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines within a fast paced work environment
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, etc.)
  • Natural curiosity to learn more
