Our company is currently seeking a Plant Controller with their CPA / CA designation.

Responsibilities
Improve and monitor processes and policies in support of organizational goals
Continuous Improvement Projects – electronic funds transfers, data management, fixed asset ledgers
Assist with payroll functions – time and attendance systems, posting journals, back-up for payroll processing
Review and clearing of open receiving reports
Reconciliation of all bank accounts on a daily basis
Work with external accountants to ensure financial results follow generally accepted accounting principles and proper internal controls are in place
Posting of cash receipts
Effectively work with other departments to resolve invoicing and receiving issues
Processing of Employee expense reports and company credit cards
Co-ordinating capital requests and tracking of approved capital into fixed asset database
Process requests for insurance certificates, WSIB clearance certificates, etc.
Complete Month end reporting procedures – ie run inventory reports, update usage, open and close financial periods including preparation of financial statements
Finance support for grant applications and SR&ED claims
Review of general ledgers for accuracy
Financial related reporting upon request – ie inventory balances, AR and AP aging, etc.
Review customer issues for collection discrepancies focusing on improving areas of concern , understanding that customer relationships and sensitivity are the highest priority
Effectively liaise with other members of divisional team and FPH Group and outside suppliers
Driven to ensure all key performance indicator targets are met
Work with Prophet 21 software to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness
Time management skills to serve several customers at the same time.
Follow regulations and policies as outlined in company’s employee handbook
Follow requirements as required by Controlled Goods Registration and other sector registrations (ie ITAR, etc.)
In accordance with the health & safety policy, follow and exceed the legislative requirements outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act in order to provide a safe & healthy workplace for all employees.

External : (i.e. degree, diploma, professional designation)
College or University Graduate – Accounting Designation required CPA / CA
Experience in manufacturing or distribution operations
PC knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel)
Experience with Microsoft Office Productivity Suite
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Ability to learn ERP Software packages including P21 Software knowledge
Able to work in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills
Professional personal presentation
Demonstrate initiative, reliability and positive team attitude
