Inteqna, London Office, is currently recruiting for an IT Technician for our client located in Strathroy, ON.  This is a 1 Year contract opportunity.
 

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, the incumbent is primarily responsible for providing customer service and support to end-users.  The incumbent will also perform administrative and technical tasks for Corporate IT.
 
 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide tier 1 & 2 end user hardware and software support
• install PC software and perform equipment upgrades consistent with policy and direction
• Respond to help desk calls and problems
• Maintain computer and software license records, asset lists, etc.
• Relocate PCs and IT equipment as required
• Perform other related projects as assigned by management

 

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (minimum 5 years).
• A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP and/or equivalent certifications.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
14. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the purpose of operating computer equipment
15. Must be able to move about an office and manufacturing environment to access computer and network equipment
16. Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder or stairs to service computer and network equipment
17. Must be able to position self to maintain computers and network equipment and cables, including under desks, in server rooms and network racks
18. Routinely manipulates a computer keyboard and mouse, diagnostic equipment and hand tools used for computer repair
19. Must be able to effectively converse though telephone and in-person as well as communicate effectively though e-mail, text or chat
20. Must be able to visually operate a variety of computers, with various configurations for the purpose of supporting other users
21. Frequently moves computer and networking equipment weighting up to 40 pounds
