- Post secondary education in Environmental Services Management or Building Maintenance Management
- Working knowledge of environmental positions as well as relevant legislation
- At least 3-5 years experience in long term care or health care setting
- Experience in Management required
- Ability to effectively communicate with both staff and residents is critical
- Experience and/or satisfactory working knowledge of Health & Safety
Responsibilities:
- Organizes staffing, supplies and equipment
- Working manager position requiring the individual to perform maintenance duties
- Supports and promotes the mission and core values of the organization
- Manages environmental budget
- Conducts selection, termination, transfer and promotion of environmental services staff in accordance with facility policy
- Completes performance appraisals for environmental services staff
- Supports orientation, training and education of staff
- Works effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
- Coordinates Health and Safety Program

- Experienced in directing, managing, coaching and mentoring staff to motivate and bring about efficiency and creativity.
