Job Description

Position: Maintenance Technician (12 month contract)
Status: Temporary, Full Time
Starting Salary: $84,039 increasing to $88,436 after 6 months

Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Services, the Maintenance Technician is responsible and accountable for the efficient and timely performance of the assigned duties and responsibilities.

Specific responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
 
  • Installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and renovation of mechanical systems and equipment;
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plumbing and heating/cooling systems;
  • Planning, layout, installation, troubleshooting and repair of electrical installations;
  • Construction, renovations and repair of building structures, facilities and furnishings;
  • Furniture installations;
  • Assist with communication and working with outside contractors and consultants; and
  • All other duties as assigned within the core competencies.
Requirements:
  • Secondary school diploma with apprenticeship
  • 6-12 months related experience

Salary:

$84,039 increasing to $88,436 after 6 months


Condition of Employment:

All London Police Service employees are required to be fully vaccinated (defined as completion of the full vaccination cycle with a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada) as a condition of hire unless there is a valid exemption pursuant to the Human Rights Code.
