ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY
COORDINATOR
Autoneum Canada Ltd, is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator for our facility in London, Ontario.
Autoneum, with registered offices in Winterthur, Switzerland, is the globally leading producer of vehicle acoustics and thermal management systems. The company develops and manufactures components, modules and complete systems for interior and engine bay as well as heat shields and underbody shields. Customers include leading automobile producers in the key markets Europe, North America, South America and Asia. Autoneum is represented at about 50 locations in over 20 countries and employs some 9600 people worldwide. Autoneum North America, operates facilities located in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, South Carolina, Indiana, as well as two facilities here in Ontario
The successful candidate will possess a technical diploma /degree, a hands-on lead by example style, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience. You must be familiar with TS and ISO standards, the principles of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. The ability to balance multiple, often conflicting tasks and to plan and prioritize effectively is essential. Basic certification training – parts 1 and 2 is a requirement.
Key responsibilities include coordinating workplace inspections; incident investigation and follow-up; corrective actions; WSIB claims management; early and safe return to work; emergency response; violence in the workplace prevention; coordinating activities of Joint Health and Safety Committee; preparation of safety talks; safety training initiatives – orientation, lift truck, lock-out, first aid, manual material handling; job hazard analysis; policy preparation and revision; as well as coordination of our environmental management system.
