The Application Engineer Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of defining, designing, and implementation of remote monitoring product solutions, supervising a team of application engineers, technologist, technicians working with our clients and internal development teams for the M2M and IoT (Internet of Things) markets.
 
This position also requires a strategic thinker who will be involved with exploring and planning the organizational future of the team along with creativity and technical expertise.  You will be exposed to a breadth of industries and experiences.  Our focus is on delivering technologies that make a meaningful impact with our customers.
 
Responsibilities

·         Involved with strategic planning
·         Manage, grow and coach a team of application engineers, technologists, technicians
·         Responsible for annual employee evaluations
·         Lead in the design of technical solutions for remote monitoring, IoT and telematics applications
·         Electrical Schematics Design
·         Work with clients, Sales and Project Managers to capture and define application requirements
·         Assist the Business Development and Sales teams in drafting and issuing proposals and project budgets.
·         Develop technical specifications and documentation
·         Work with Project Managers and development teams to produce project plans
·         Act as the technical point of contact for a project
·         Manage the technical constraints of a project or solution
·         Liaison with internal development teams on technical and project management issues.
·         Work with clients and installation teams to commission monitoring systems in the field Project Management of assigned projects.
·         Provide regular updates to senior management and customer
 
Qualifications

·         Electronic, Controls or Electrical engineering degree or diploma
·         Minimum 5-7 years of experience
·         Experience in Electrical Controls, SCADA and Electrical System Integration. Off-highway vehicle experience would be an asset. 
·         Proven leadership skills – positive attitude, persuasive, innovative, encouraging and motivating
·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and manage strong team dynamics and work with complex cross-functional teams
·         Proven ability to drive project to successful completion, as well as the ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
·         Strong customer management and presentation skills
·         Exceptionally self-motivated, directed and detail-oriented
·         Ability to read and understand engineering documents and contracts
·         Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
·         Occasional travel required, primarily US.
