Job Summary
 
Tests and inspects products of incoming supplied components and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing specific duties.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

• Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
• Selects products for tests of specified supplied components, and tests products for variety or qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, and chemical characteristics
• Records tests data, applying statistical quality control procedures
• Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards for specific suppliers as determined by the SQE
• Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life or material characteristics (if applicable)
• Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records in accordance with the Vuteq System requirements
• Assist in the recording and analysis of defects, countermeasures and provide visual aids for decision making support

 
Additional Responsibilities
 

• Perform incoming inspection on specific supplied components
• Maintain an auditing schedule of all supplied components
• Supplier liaison
• Assist the SQE to ensure clear communication between Vuteq Canada Inc. and it’s suppliers
• Projects as directed by SQE
• Participate and promote kaizen activity

 
Job Qualifications
 
Education

• One year certificate from college or technical school; and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• Quality Assurance Certificate

 Computer Skills

• Microsoft Excel software, Microsoft Word software

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
