JOB TITLE:                              Maintenance Associate - Electrician                               
REPORTS TO:                          Manufacturing Manager
DEPARTMENT:                         WSS Maintenance
                                               
SUMMARY:                                            
Responsible to participate in the research and development of the stainless steel process by undertaking the tasks of recommends, maintains, troubleshoots, fabricates and installation of electrical equipment in our Stratford facility. To be a plant resource to ensure the continued operation, maintenance and installation of plant equipment and machinery

Mechanical / Electrical 


1Identify electrical needs and plan installation of mechanical/electrical equipment in accordance with all regulations


2Maintain and inspect mechanical/electrical equipment


3Identify mechanical/electrical problems, systematically isolate and make recommendations to team to correct problem or to obtain optimal performance of equipment


4Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and code specifications to determine layout of mechanical/electrical equipment installations


5Troubleshoots robotic and control logics and makes the necessary adjustments to the robotic programs
Coordination:


6Ensure proper records and checks are completed and maintained


7Work within the established budget as it pertains to equipment installation and maintenance


8Provide advice and guidance in developmental work when changes or additions are made to mechanical/electrical equipment


9Investigates current technology as it relates to the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and provide findings to the Stainless Steel Development team as they research and develop the SLIC process further.


10Responsible for the assembly, debugging, installation, and start up of new or modified production equipment from the perspective of mechanical assembly, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls installation





Teamwork:


11Participates as a member of the Stainless Steel Development team to prepare facilities for installation and maintenance of the SLIC process line in order to develop the process further


12Works with the team to provide a safe environment by bringing health, safety or environmental concerns to their attention as it pertains to the area of expertise.


13Researches, contracts and works with external resources to support developmental needs when required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Electrical trade certificate
  • 5 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment maintaining controls and mechanical/ electrical equipment
  • Siemens and/or Alan Bradley PLC Programming Experience
  •  Demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to work with and interpret data and drawings
  • Ability to adapt to technological changes to structures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
