JOB SUMMARY:  The role will require the individual to prospect and sign-up small and medium-sized businesses into our Connected Office® managed services program.  The sales approach will include new business development supported by integrated marketing campaigns both by vertical and product/service.  Preference will be given to “hunter” sales people with experience in cold calling and prospecting CFO/budget holders and IT managers. Past cold-calling experience is a definite asset.  On target Year 1 earnings of $100K+.
 
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Ability to articulate TUC’s value proposition and offerings including managed IT and cloud services, professional services and products.
  • Responsible for individual quota for sales and sales activity.
  • Book appointments and online demonstrations for SMB customers.
  • Follow TUC defined initial and top-of-mind-awareness campaigns.
  • Responsible for lead qualification and generating new business.
  • Fully utilize our CRM tool by documenting all activities, follow up, forecasts, etc.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with TUC Account Management team.
 
 
 
 
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Sales and business development activities:
  • Develop list of potential customer targets and sales approach.
  • Take identified target through sales process.
  • Develop proposals and quotations.
  • Work with finance and technical teams on deal closing.
  • Aggressively implement TUC Referral program – friends, associates, partner firms, customers
  • Drive prospects to TUC seminars
 
Account maintenance activities:
  • Oversee the New Customer Introduction process for onboarding clients
  • Maintain regular contact with customers under monthly managed services contracts,
  • Identity up-sell opportunities.
  • Perform quarterly business reviews with customers.
 
Other Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for daily accurate updating to the CRM system
  • Responsible for having strong relationships with TUC team members
  • Report on your activities and pipeline at weekly sales meetings.
  • Collaborate with other sales members on issues (and solutions) – be proactive
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-5 years of successful outside sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed past sales call quotas.
  • Understanding of corporate decision-makers based on size of organization.
  • Knowledgeable in technology and the MSP space.
  • Strong, polished, professional communication skills – “people person” – both oral and written communication.
  • Well-organized and disciplined.
  • Team player with high energy, positive, “customer” friendly attitude.
  • Internet and social networking skills an asset.
  • Ability to develop executive-level relationships.
  • Creative thinker and strategic planner.
  • Entrepreneurial background an asset.
  • Computer skills including the ability to operate CRM and Microsoft applications
  • Computer hardware and software knowledge
