Lucas Professional Search Group is currently recruiting for an Accounting Manager with a growing manufacturing facility in the Chatham area. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions and assisting in daily accounting operations.
  
Responsibilities:

• Preparing month end and company financial statements
• Make recommendations on accounting process and procedures and make improvement when necessary
• Cash management and reporting
• Preparing company budget
• Managing AP/APR and making collection calls when needed
• Cost accounting & Forecasting
• Full cycle accounting including payroll, month and year end reports, accounts payable, receivable, journal entries, balance reconciliations, government remittances and all other accounting related functions.
• Additional responsibilities include office management, human resources, operations as required

 
Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as senior accounting professional in a manufacturing facility is preferred
• Post-Secondary education
• Completion or progression towards CPA/CMA designation
• Proven experience with full cycle accounting, preparing financial statements and reports, and managing and creating budgets
• Hands on and proactive approach to daily tasks
• Experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency with Quickbooks and Simply Accounting
