We are currently recruiting for an?Audit and Assurance Manager?for our Tillsonburg, ON office.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities of this position will include:
- Effectively plan, supervise, and execute assurance engagements (audits and reviews) and accounting projects in accordance with all relevant professional standards and firm’s policies
- Maintain high-quality control by reviewing/auditing the assurance engagement and accounting project files, tax returns, and other work to ensure accuracy and completeness and that the engagement/project is in compliance with the relevant professional standards and the firm’s policies
- Develop the skills, capabilities, and potential of staff through supervision, coaching, mentoring, training, knowledge transfer, providing feedback and assigning challenging work opportunities
- Effectively manage and focus firm’s resources
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues while upholding the firm’s vision of offering high professional standards, competence and integrity
- Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions
- Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-focused environment
- Proficient in CaseWare and Taxprep
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to deliver in a fast paced, deadline and customer focused environment
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:
The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 or more years of public accounting experience and overseeing client work including file and tax return reviews. Significant applied experience with audit and assurance engagement is desired.
We are looking for a strong self-starter with a commitment to professional client service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required to liaise with clients, team members and other community partners.
