Job Description
We are looking for a programmer for a six month contract to work with existing team to expand upon a proprietary project management platform used to quote jobs, submit bids and ultimately manage fulfilment of the awarded contract. We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive team member who will take a business process and turn it into an automated value added solution for our customers and our team members.

Requirements:
- Experience writing database programs using Visual Basic.Net.
- Experience using SQL and SQL Server (or another database management system) to run queries, and create tables and other objects.
- A self-starter who can work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Able to troubleshoot technical problems with strong problem-solving skills.
- Great communication and leadership skills.
- Enjoys talking to other staff to get answers to questions and learn about the business. Able to use this information to make design decisions and focus on key deliverables.
- Likes creating and presenting demo and first draft versions of application components to users to get their feedback to direct and refine their work.
- A College Graduate with IT-related education.
- Demonstrated time management skills and completion of tasks to a deadline.
- Experience using DataGridView (VB control) and using VB to export reports to Excel.
- Able to develop user interfaces that allow quick and easy data entry.
- Experience with database design, including normalizing tables.
- Personal transportation is required as we are five minutes outside of Byron.
- Knowledge of the door hardware business/construction industry /project managment a plus.
