Senior Associate, International Tax Services (US Tax)

The International Tax Services (ITS) group has an opportunity for a Tax Senior Associate specializing in U.S. Corporate Tax to join the Southwestern Ontario practice in Waterloo. Working with a broad range of clients, including private middle market and multinational companies, you will be providing U.S. tax services to Canadian-owned U.S. businesses.

We are looking for individuals who are committed to a career in taxation, who will build their tax expertise, management, technical skills and business relationships to provide proactive advice and become an essential advisor to our clients’ business operations.

As a Tax Senior Associate you will be responsible for:

-Corporate federal and state income tax compliance;
-Tax provision preparation;
-Tax research at the federal and state level;
-Provide assistance to team members on tax related issues.

Education Requirement:

-Bachelors degree in Accounting or business;
-Enrolment in Master of Taxation is preferable
-CPA (Canadian or US) designation preferred

Experience Requirement:

-1-3 years experience in US corporate tax, including preparation of federal consolidated tax returns and tax returns for multi-state corporations is preferable;
-Good analytical and organizational skills;
-Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office;
-GoSystem experience preferred
-Ability to work independently and also with other team members remotely
-Strong written and oral communication abilities, interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
