We currently have the following career opportunity:
MEDICAL GAS TECHNICIAN
GasPro (London, ON), 6 Month Contract Position (full-time hours)
GasPro is a division of ProResp Inc. with service locations in London and Etobicoke. Our London operation is currently seeking applicants for a Medical Gas Technician. In this role with GasPro, you will assume the responsibility for ensuring the provision of adequate supplies of medical oxygen and related equipment as required. You will process, fill/prepare, maintain and deliver oxygen cylinders for customers, both internal and external. Candidates must be willing to undergo training in such areas as medical oxygen and TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods). Candidates must possess a D license and be agreeable to participate in applicable background checks as a condition of employment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provides supplies of oxygen within a geographical region in form of liquid or compressed gas products
- Processing, filling and maintenance of oxygen cylinders of various size and weight
- Maintains regular and prompt delivery schedule
- Responsible for safety and maintenance of the delivery vehicle in accordance with established practices
- Vehicle load and unload
- Provide excellent customer service
- Accurate and timely document completion
- Inventory control of products
- Maintains accurate records of goods supplied to the client
- Appropriately complete necessary documentation as required for client records and billing
- Must adhere to the regulations regarding the handling, offering for transport and transporting of dangerous goods and maintains a valid TDG certificate as provided by the company

Considered an asset:
- Previous work experience in driving/delivery involving customer service
- Proven ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment (delivery, warehousing, shipping/receiving, logistics)
- Previous training in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
Hours of work: Full-time hours, Monday-Friday, occasional opportunity for extra hours, some variation in shift times; may include occasional weekend or evening shift. Some flexibility in hours will be required to meet business needs.
Essential Business Needs: Candidates must have a valid D Ontario driver’s license, in good standing (G full privilege license of at least 3 years required, at minimum). Chosen candidate must provide an original vulnerable sector police records check. Chosen candidate must pass internally provided training in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Medical Gas.
Education: Secondary school graduate at minimum.
Language Requirements: Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English.
Physical demands: Walking, sitting, standing, driving, stair climbing and lifting (able to lift, push and pull 100 lbs.)
Personal Protective Equipment Required: Steel toed footwear, safety glasses, gloves/protective sleeving and masks.
