Job Description
PLC / Robot Programmer
Our client in London is currently recruiting for candidates with experience programming at the HMI and at the Pendant to ensure cycle times are matching the requirements for the Manufacturer. The ideal candidate would be confident with ladder logic and have experience working on integrating robots and machines into customer sites; this position does not involve heavy travel, clients are local and mainly automotive clients.
The hours for this position will range between 40-48 weekly on average and upwards of 50 for installations or ends of projects.
The primary responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
- Programming, testing, debugging and integration of automated machines
- Work in collaboration with cross functional team members and coordinate activities with other departments
- Work with PM to complete projects on time, on budget and safely
- Travel to customer sites to service and support existing equipment or installation of new equipment during commissioning and integrating phase
Programmer Requirements:
- College Education related to Automation, Robotics, Programming or related
- Background in a Manufacturing facility with PLC and HMI programming
- Experience working in a custom automation environment is an asset
- Robot integration experience in assembly or welding applications an asset
- Strong PLC Programming required and understanding of ladder logic an asset
- Knowledge of vision systems is an asset
