Autodata Solutions is currently looking for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for our London, Ontario office.  Autodata serves the world’s largest auto manufacturers and their partners.  Founded in 1990, it is our mission to provide solutions that increase the effectiveness of the automotive sales chain and help put vehicles in consumer’s driveways.  Clients benefit from the expertise we have gained from our singular focus on the automotive sector as well as 24 years of successful client engagements.  

This role will report to our Senior Vice President, Finance with reporting responsibilities to our corporate finance team at headquarters in El Segundo, CA.

Position Summary:
This position will play a key role in the development, management, and reporting of the financial and operational performance of Autodata and its different divisions.  The position will require in-depth analysis to help maximize the profitability of the company and each division including assisting functional leaders in growing revenue, increasing productivity, controlling expenses, and ultimately increasing profitability.
 

Responsibilities:

• Act as primary point of contact between the functional leaders of divisions and the Autodata executive team for reporting matters.
• Lead for creating and maintaining detailed annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Ensure financial plans are accurate and well integrated, and that accountability has been established throughout the organization.
• Provide comprehensive analysis of financial variables, identify and evaluate issues, and assist functional leaders in understanding these analyses and issues so they can act accordingly.
• Assist in diligencing and modeling potential acquisition opportunities.
• Spearhead special projects:  perform analyses to help assess revenue opportunities; cost rationalization; operations streamlining.
• Drive improvements to company FP&A practices: deeper P&L analysis, multi-year forecasting, strategic planning.
• Partner with HR on headcount reporting and analytics, resource/cost allocations.
• Serve as a key point of contact between Autodata and Internet Brands (parent company).
• Develop financial and operational presentations for insiders and outsiders.

The successful candidate will serve as one of the key finance liaisons between President/CEO of Autodata and Internet Brands corporate finance and accounting.  The candidate will also be a participant in strategic and operations planning processes for the business and will handle special requests and projects for the President/CEO of Autodata.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Business.  MBA and/or CA/CPA preferred.  
• 10+ years professional experience, with at least 5 years working in finance or accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Strong knowledge in finance, reporting and analysis, and accounting principles.
• Highest degree of proficiency in financial modeling and analysis; skills should include not only Excel expertise, but also abilities to design, communicate, and adjust models to fit business needs and changes.
• Ability to work across various functional areas and to interact with individuals across all levels throughout organization.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Ability to create and present board-level presentations.
• Highly detail oriented with a strong sense of ownership over work product.
• Experience working within the software, automotive and/or internet industries ideal.
