Hours:  35 hours per week.  Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pay Details: $39.15 per hour

Note: This is a full-time Support position (35 hours per week).

Duties:  Under the general direction of the Manager, Industry Projects, the CARIB (Centre for Applied Research and Innovation in Biotechnology) Project Facilitator will coordinate research projects over the life of an awarded project in the food processing and/or cannabis sector. The incumbent will also assist in technical writing of reports and proposals for funding agencies and/or project partners.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary 4-year Bachelors of Science degree focusing in Food Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the food processing and/or cannabis sector
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Project coordination/facilitation
  • Technical/scientific writing
  • Budgeting
  • Technical research and analysis
  • Laboratory QA/QC
  • Experience dealing with negative or unpopular information or decisions, or dealing with difficult people or situations
  • Excellent written communication skills
