The Turf Sales Representative is responsible for sales of all new and used turf equipment to existing and prospective customers through exceptional service and by completing the following:

• Representing the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
• Maintaining current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
• Monitoring competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly
• Maintaining all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
• Knowingly follows a defined sales process
• Maintaining assigned company vehicles and equipment (ex: annual safety)
• Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
• Conducting new equipment field demonstrations
• Monitoring trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management
• Maintaining current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
• Attending applicable sales training events/seminars
• Maintaining current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes
• Must follow standard operating procedures and health and safety rules in performing work assignments
• Must follow duties as outlined in section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Understanding and following proper loading and securing of equipment as per D.O.T. requirements
• Understanding safe operating practices with the different types of equipment

 
Qualifications that a candidate should possess in order to gain consideration for this position:

• High School diploma
• Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• Required to work flexible hours
• Excellent proven customer relationship skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
• Mechanical background as asset
