Rehab First Inc. is a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation assessment and treatment provider, specializing in complex case management, occupational therapy, life care planning, physio therapy, speech-language therapy, social work counselling and rehabilitation therapy. Our clients are children, adolescents and adults who have serious injuries and illnesses such as brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, multiple orthopaedic injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder, mental health issues and many other problematic injuries and conditions. Rehab First Inc. is currently recruiting for a full time experienced Kinesiologist located in the London area.
 
Responsibilities:

• Development of treatment plans under Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefit regulations

• Development and implementation of home and community-based gym/exercise therapy programs
• Work hardening and conditioning
• Cognitive Therapy
• Life Skills Training/Activities of Daily Living
• Job coaching
• Educational assistance
• Ergonomic assessments
• Social and Community reintegration

Qualifications:

• A University degree in Kinesiology
• Previous experience with creating and implementing physical exercise programs is required
• Experience with brain injuries is beneficial
• Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Strong computer, written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to travel to local gyms or client’s homes

This position requires superior interpersonal relations, as well as strong communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills. All applicants are required to have a valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and a willingness to travel as this position is community-based.
