Location:  London
Employment Group:  Support
Type of Position: Full-time
Salary:  $32.84 per hour
Hours:  40 hours per week  
Closing Date:  June 6, 2016
                   
Note:  This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).

Duties:   Under the general direction of the Manager, the incumbent installs and maintains plumbing systems, heating and cooling system piping, Natural Gas appliances and piping, and compressed air systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Certificate of Qualification (306A) Plumber (5 year) apprenticeship
  • Completion of Ontario College of Trades, Certified and Registered Plumber
  • Minimum 5 years industrial/commercial experience in plumbing, hvac piping, gas fitting and welding experience to enable independent exercise of technical skills
  • AWWA backflow certification required with 100 hours or less
  • Gas technician 2 certification with 600 hours of classroom training and work experience
  • Employee must be able to operate elevated work platform equipment, ie: scissor lift/aerial boom and forklift
  • Additional knowledge of the City of London grease trap maintenance program requirements is preferred
