We are looking for someone with expertise in this field to work a short term contract of 6-7 months. This role will be a mix of onsite and remote work. A typical day:
- Will see you perform compliance activities to ensure products meet compliance obligations for the consumer and occupational/industrial markets in Canada.
- Includes providing Environmental Health and Safety input to Life Cycle Management/New Product Introduction processes.
- Has you assuming responsibilities for conducting assigning, approving, or initiating technical tasks leading to product compliance including Safety Data Sheet authoring, product risk assessment and label review.
An ideal candidate has:
- Fundamental knowledge of applicable Canadian Acts and Regulations including the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, Hazardous Products Act/Regulations, Consumer Product Safety Act and Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations
- A high skill level and knowledgeable to the position, works with minimal direction and provides best practices within your work group.
- Fundamental knowledge of applicable Canadian Acts and Regulations including the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, Hazardous Products Act/Regulations, Consumer Product Safety Act and Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations.
- A post secondary degree in Regulatory Affairs or similar field
- 3-5 years of practical experience in a manufacturing environment
