Job Description
ADECCO is currently recruiting full time Permanent Downstream Technician jobs for our client in Thorndale, ON. The shifts are 12 hour continental shifts with 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off- rotating 4 weeks on days, 4 weeks on nights.
Job Description for the Downstream Technician job:
- Assist with line tooling changes, start-ups, shutdowns and down stream equipment set-up
- Maintain proper knowledge of all pipe products and package requirements
- Properly label all finished goods
- Conduct visual product quality inspections
- Track quantity of units produced from the production line
- Maintain and build job skills through company training programs
- Properly package all products (qty, filters, bags, gaskets)
- Assist with Preventive Maintenance program as required
- Practice proper forklift operation and preventive maintenance
Requirements for the Downstream Technician Job:
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift 75 lbs up to a height of 6 feet
- Work indoors/outdoors (Extreme hot/cold temperatures due to weather)
- Detail oriented, self motivation and reliable
- Ability to bend, twist and squat throughout shift
