Responsibilities of a Controller

• Participation in financial forecasting and yearly budget planning process.  Development of variance explanation reports. Creation and comments of the quarterly forecasts and data input into the SAP system.
• Support capital investment planning and analysis.
• Support reporting and analysis of monthly financial results.  Prepare explanations for deviations to companywide and cost center budgets.  Participate in developing corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly actual vs. target result review meetings with operations leaders, and provide insight into financial performance.
• Process owner for web-based procurement requests. 
• Participate in development of manufacturing portion of product cost calculations.
• Drive cost improvement activities and optimization projects. Prepare business cases, cost efficiency calculations and decision sheets.
• Provide assistance to the accounting department for month and year end closing, as well as external audit activities.
• Ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned by Manager.

 To qualify as a right candidate; you should have post-secondary education, more than 5 years of senior accounting experience in manufacturing preferably automotive industry. And you must have experience in SAP accounting software.

Professional designation and Knowledge of GAAP, internal Reporting standards is an asset
