The Opportunity
Accounting Manager – Full Time 1 Year Contract
Reports to the COO
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Supervision and control of the general accounting functions
  • General Ledger financial statement preparation including processing all journal entries
  • Preparation, analysis and distribution of monthly P&L, B/S and other supporting statements
  • Preparation of yearend schedules and reports for management and audit purposes
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets
  • Completion of necessary HST tax forms, remit appropriate taxes and file all reports required
  • Completion of special projects as required
 
Qualifications:
 
  • 5 years of accounting experience with at least 1 full yearend in a general accounting role
  • Must possess a post-secondary degree/diploma
  • CGA/CMA designation preferred
  • Expert level Excel skills required
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs required
  • Working knowledge of Simply Accounting or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Fast Learner with ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
