Mechanical Engineering - Technical Writer
Our major defense client in London Ontario is looking for Technical Writers to join their team.
Required Qualifications
• University Degree or 3 year College Diploma (technical discipline)
• Minimum 1 year experience in writing technical manuals
• Demonstrated high levels of written and oral communications skills, interpersonal and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SGML/XML, Documenting or working in a Content Management System (CMS)
Job Responsibilities
• Determine, develop and obtain source data necessary to produce illustrated parts or operator/maintenance manuals
• Develop/write procedures as part of overall development of illustrated parts or operator/maintenance manuals
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and subcontractor data
• Generate accurate illustration requests to support technical manual development
• Review change requests to determine level of impact to technical manuals
• Liaise with LE groups and other staff for inputs and results of evaluations
• Assist in updating stat logs
