Job Description
ADECCO on behalf of our client is recruiting for a licensed, experienced MILLWRIGHT in Tillsonburg, Ontario
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MILLWRIGHT
- Diagnosing, trouble shooting, maintenance and repair any production equipment, tools, dies and fixtures
- Performing scheduled maintenance on production line equipment
- Making recommendations on changes to equipment, method or product
- Uses a variety of tools and measuring equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Able to work from blueprints
- Working knowledge of pneumetics and hydraulics
- Operate a forklift truck (if properly licenced) as required
- Ensure all safety devices are properly adjusted, in place, and all procedures are followed
- All other duties as assigned
- Assisting in selection of parts
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MILLWRIGHT
- Certified Millwright or enrollment in an apprentice program
- Minimum two years of technical experience as a Millwright
- Sawmill & Planer experience is an asset
- Knowledge in automated machine systems
- Highly experienced in inspecting and repairing mechanical equipment
- Working knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance
- Ability to always drill down to the root cause of a breakdown and take appropriate actions
- Self-directed individual, continuous improvement driven
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- Must be able to work in a team based concept
