LOOKING TO HIRE – St. Thomas Lubrication Distribution Centre (1 POSITION)
WAREHOUSE SUPPORT PERSON
Dowler-Karn is looking to fill a full-time position at its St Thomas Lubrication Distribution Centre. The successful applicant will be tasked with supporting the operations of Dowler-Karn’s new lubricant facility including facility maintenance and yard support, warehouse support including the drum and pail line and aiding in the fulfillment of customer delivery requests.

WAREHOUSE SUPPORT PERSON
Dowler-Karn is looking to fill a full-time position at its St Thomas Lubrication Distribution Centre. The successful applicant will be tasked with supporting the operations of Dowler-Karn’s new lubricant facility including facility maintenance and yard support, warehouse support including the drum and pail line and aiding in the fulfillment of customer delivery requests.
Current responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to:
- Maintain a clean and professional looking facility including cleaning of floors, loading racks, and outside dock.
- Provide warehouse support including active participation in:
- The receiving of product, tracking and safe storage
- Pick and organize customer product requests
- Load trucks for the release of orders
- Ensure order / inventory accuracy including completion of bin audits
- Receive bulk product loads
- Operate the pail / drum / tote line including monitoring and ensuring sufficient stock and supplies to refill and support the line;
- Sample / test product to quality standard
- Prepare and organize emergency or local deliveries when required.
- Provide assistance and support to the main office or in the field upon request; may include duties such as BBQ building, filling cylinders, yard maintenance, parts running, among other requirements.
- Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate should possess:
- Minimum of a grade 12 diploma is required
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driving record; a D-license would be considered beneficial but not required
- 3-5 years’ experience with lift trucks is required; man-lift experience is an asset
- The successful candidate will be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) on a regular basis
- Solid comfort level with computers is necessary as is experience with MS Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills and be a flexible and dependable team player.
- A strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a dynamic and ever changing environment is necessary;
- Able to work independently / proven self-starter
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and possess good time management skills
- Good communication skills, including neat and legible hand writing
- Self-directed and safety conscious
