Canadian Centre for Product Validation

 

Location: London

Employment Group: Admin

Type of Position: Full-time

Note: This is a full-time Administrative position (37.5 hours per week).

Duties: Reporting to the Director of the Canadian Centre for Product Validation (CCPV), the Business Developer is a key strategic driver to deliver the sales of the CCPV's products and services in a defined geographic and/or technical area. The Business Developer ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive strategic planning and effective plan deployment. The Business Developer identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and earnings for the CCPV.

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary 3 year diploma/degree in Electric, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering Technology

  • Minimum 5 years related experience in technical sales with mechanical or electrical components, instrumentation equipment, or product validation services

  • Equivalent education may be considered

  • P.Eng, EIT or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation are assets

  • Understanding of the product development process, product validation techniques, and project management are assets

  • Eligible to hold national security clearance

  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies

  • Ability to manage several projects concurrently while meeting deadlines effectively

  • Ability to plan and lead change

  • Proven ability to motivate and lead other team members

  • Solid skills and experience in planning, forecasting and resource allocation

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required

  • Excellent problem-solving, customer service, analytical and oral and written communication skills
