Job Description
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator, is responsible for, but not limited to, coordinating the facilities policies, procedures, benefits and record keeping functions in support of the facility’s objectives. Ensures that the HR department’s administrative processes are up to date, relevant, available and actionable
Ensure that all Human Resources departmental work activities are aligned to the Magna Employee Charter and Magna Corporate Constitution.
Responsible for payroll administration, WSIB administration and benefits administration related to employee concerns, questions and communicates accurate information regarding same to employees.
Maintains the HR department’s handbook, benefit plans, job descriptions, training records, etc., in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintains updates on employee and dependant records and communicates changes to other relevant parties both inside and outside of Magna International Inc.
Responsible for HR program development and implementation at QSS.
Tracks and maintains employee work schedules for the purpose of accurately determining proper administration of benefits and attendance records.
Provides various statistical metrics related to the performance of departmental goals and objectives - Key Operating Indicators (KOI’s).
Maintains the facility’s employee records for the purpose of coordinating information with payroll and starts employee orientation.
Maintains data for DPSP, RRSP EEPPP information for the QSS facility.
Implements, administers and maintains the facility attendance records. Delivers actionable information to other operational personnel and tracks results.
Administers the HRIS systems as required and ensures effective interface with payroll and other business-related functions. Administers the E-Time system and ensures effective interface with payroll and other operational personnel.
Supports other HR staff with various duties including the reception of employees and the resolution of employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits and employee relations’ policies and procedures. Addresses or forwards employee inquiries to relevant operational or administrative personnel. Supports other departments in HR related functions as required.
Perform special projects in support of the organizations business objectives.
Adheres to Technical System Procedures and Instructions.
Responsible for maintaining Quality Procedures and Instructions within the department.
Other projects and duties as assigned
